Ashley Judd

Last year, Ashley Judd wore her "This is what a feminist looks like" tee to a photo shoot for Glamour magazine. Ms. thought that was great, so we invited her to be on the cover of this issue, along with fellow feminists Margaret Cho, Whoopie Goldberg, and Camryn Manheim.

Judd matches her words with action. In 1999 she and her mother country singer Naomi Judd, helped publicize the plight of Afghan women at a Feminist Majority event. Last year, she toured seven states with U2 lead singer Bono to educate Americans about HIV and the AIDS crisis in Africa.
